KALWALL SKYLIGHTS

Kalwall Skylights are complete, factory assembled units. They are made by permanently bonding specially formulated, super-weathering fiberglass faces to both sides of an aluminium I-beam grid core - a true sandwich panel, factory sealed into a rugged aluminium frame.

The space formed in the grid between the two faces is filled with translucent fiberglass "batts" providing excellent thermal properties. Higher densities and thermally broken grid cores are available for truly super insulating units and can achieve as good as 0.56 W/m²K.

Because the standard face sheets are translucent, they transmit natural, diffused sunlight without the harsh glare of direct daylight. Controls uncomfortable heat gain too, unless desired for special purposes such as solar heating.

The special weather-resistant formulation of the fiberglass means the finished Skylight is practically maintenance-free. They are super strong shatterproof and extremely impact resistant. All Kalwall rooflights are inherently safe and can be walked on for occasional maintenance.

Corrosion-resistant, coloured finished on the exposed aluminium (available as an option) minimise damage that can be caused by corrosive atmospheres often found in highly industrialised or extremely moist areas of the country.
